Meet Hannah – Manager, Saanich.
How did you get started in the liquor industry, and what’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned along the way?
I got started in the liquor industry about six years ago when I joined Liquor Express! I would say the biggest lesson I’ve learned is to be kind to everyone, as you never know what someone is going through, and a little kindness goes a long way.
What’s your most memorable experience on the job?
My most memorable experience on the job is every day! I love making people happy, having conversations, and building connections with our regular customers.
What’s your go-to drink to impress a crowd?
My go-to drink is Dock Day Iced Tea! It’s low in sugar and not carbonated, which makes it super crushable and refreshing, especially on a summer day.
What’s a hidden gem product at the Saanich store that people should know about?
A hidden gem product that everyone should know about is the Wayne Gretzky Red Cask Whisky. It’s super affordable at $37.49 for a 750 mL bottle, and it tastes absolutely amazing!
What’s a surprising fact or talent you have outside of work?
A talent that people may be surprised to learn about me is that I rode, trained, and showed horses for about 12 years when I was younger!
