Meet Olivia – Manager, Goldstream.
How did you get started in the liquor industry, and what’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned along the way?
I got started in the liquor industry about seven years ago after responding to a job posting and wanting to try something different in my retail career. The biggest lesson I’ve learned over the years is that management can make or break a great team.
What’s your most memorable experience on the job?
I’m always learning something new about the industry, the products, and the trends we see each year.
What’s your go-to drink to impress a crowd?
Without a doubt, any Sheringham Distillery product. My absolute favourite is the Seaside Gin, with their Rhubarb Gin Liqueur being a close second. Enjoy either one chilled on its own, or add a splash of club soda and lemon juice for a refreshing patio cocktail.
What’s a hidden gem product customers should know about?
Frind Estate Rosé is one of my favourite summer wines. It’s a crisp, lively, and bold rosé with notes of red berries and watermelon. It pairs beautifully with a charcuterie board, summer salads, and asparagus.
What’s a surprising fact or talent you have outside of work?
I’ve loved horses and everything about that world for as long as I can remember!
